London, here I am!
My plane took off and I was very excited. My english exchange student Rosie invited me to come to England in the autumn holidays 2008. I looked forward to seeing her, because she was very nice and we had a great time in Germany, when she was over here.
The plane arrived in London Stansted and her family waited in front of the airport of me. We had to drive by car to their house, because they live about one hour from London. At home, Rosie showed me the her home and the big garden. Her sister Beth was so kind and gave me her room for the 5 days I stayed in England.
They prepared a nice programm for me. And so we spent two days in London.
First Rosie and her mum showed me many sights. For example the Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, Hyde Park, Trafalgar Square and so on. I took a lot of photos of everything. It was really great! After that we went down Oxford street with so many shops! Especially the shop windows were great. They were decorated for christmas and by night they shone in all colours! It was so amazing! The next day was as nice as the first one. We went to Harrods, a big store in London. There you can buy everything you want, but you should have much money, because everything is so expensive! Then I saw Covent Garden an area where it isn´t allowed to drive by car. Everywhere there are little coffeeshops and people who sing for example a song or do something else. The highlight in the end was the London eye by night! Such a great view!
Sadly, the 5 days were over and the school would begin on the next day and so I had to go back to Mannheim. But I hope it was not my last trip to London and Rosie!
